Hitachi Solutions is a leading Microsoft Solutions Partner. They create solutions based on Microsoft Dynamics 365 and associated technologies that reduce client costs, increase profits and improve customer engagement.

Their business builds solutions for many industries, including local government, housing, insurance, retail and professional services. Their clients include Hiscox, Joseph Rowntree Foundation and Dr Martens: a diverse roster that shares a need to utilise new technology to improve customer service and efficiency.

They wanted to find a partner agency that could improve the user experience, as well as meet the needs of their content editors and marketers.

That included the ability to localise a user-friendly CMS for a multi-site solution, adapt flexibly to add new features and pages, and optimise UX for customer engagement.

What challenges did Hitachi Solutions face?

The project evolved from Hitachi Solutions’ purchase of German retail specialist Implexis. Implexis needed to be brought under the branding of Hitachi Solutions as quickly as possible, and since the German company already had a relationship with GrowCreate, the client decided to continue with our agency on this project.

Hitachi Solutions came to GrowCreate with three clear needs from their web channel project:

  • Deliver a localised content-managed solution with the flexibility to add new languages as the company expands into new regions
  • Provide a flexible editor experience enabling the team to create bespoke web pages using components
  • Improve the UX to clearly demonstrate how their services can be applied to an industry or a client’s specific situation

Hitachi Solutions needed a platform that would help content editors and internal users work in a more productive and efficient way, while improving overall user experience for their clients.

They chose GrowCreate to deliver UX, design and Episerver development, launching the new website simultaneously across three countries.

How GrowCreate met Hitachi Solutions’ challenges

GrowCreate undertook all the creative design and website development for the three websites (UK, France and Germany); adding connectivity to Microsoft Dynamics’ automated marketing tool, Click Dimensions; and developing the site to scale, enabling the client to add new country domains to their solution.

Working with four representatives on the client side, led by Hitachi Solutions’ marketing director, we used our structured methodology to meet all the requirements of the project. The client submitted written materials for the site in stages, which our team integrated on demand as the project progressed.

As part of the purchase of Implexis by Hitachi Solutions, all the company branding was changing over one weekend. This would involve the offices, stationery, and digital presence. This provided the project team with a fixed deadline for the project, which everybody was focused on meeting.

Post-launch, Hitachi Solutions has demonstrated a remarkable consistency in content quality. The secret is their ability to clearly demonstrate how their services can be applied to an industry or a customer’s specific situation. GrowCreate play an integral role in helping the marketing team deliver this content.

Feedback from the Hitachi Solutions team has been very positive; they’ve told us that we always listen carefully and responded quickly to their questions, and we’ve been able to meet every challenge, from development to design, support and changing functionality.
