Long before Peter advised clients, led teams, or helped shape digital organisations, he studied electronics. It was a world of logic, structure and analysis — and it left a mark.
“Electronics taught me to go deep,” he says. “To understand what’s really happening before trying to fix anything.”
That analytical grounding has been with him ever since. But surprisingly, it wasn’t technology that shaped his leadership style. It was people.
As Peter tells it, there was a moment early in his career when he realised the work was never just about requirements, deliverables or escalations. It was about humans.
“At first I worried a lot about what a client might say,” he admits. “Then I realised something simple: we’re just two people talking. One has a question. The other can solve it. Everything comes down to communication, listening and being honest about what’s possible.”
That philosophy would carry him through every role that followed — from his time at Yacht and Mirabeau to Cognizant, UNRVLD, Marvelous and now Growcreate.
From delivery to digital partnership
Peter’s early years in consultancy were focused on solving capacity problems: matching the right people to the right client needs. Straightforward. Transactional.
But moving into digital agencies changed everything.
“At Mirabeau and later Cognizant, it wasn’t just about placing someone. It was about shaping ideas with the client,” he says. “I loved the creativity in that — listening, challenging, and asking: have you considered this?”
It was the shift from execution to collaboration. From answering the question to exploring the possibilities behind the question.
That mindset made him a natural fit for Marvelous, where relationships weren’t just valued — they were the business model.

As the teams united, Peter stepped into a new role. He shapes Growcreate Netherlands, strengthens client relationships, and ensures Marvelous' culture thrives within a larger business.

“Clients don’t need someone to say yes to everything,” he says. “They need someone who listens deeply and tells the truth — even when it means suggesting a better path than the one they had in mind.”
